Stainless Mounted Bearing Units
Rainbow Precision Products provides ABEC-1-compliant Food-Grade Stainless Steel Mounted Ball Bearings. Stainless steel pillow block bearings are the ideal bearings for use in food-handling equipment that is routinely cleaned off because of its corrosion-resistant stainless steel structure and smooth surfaces that won't trap debris. Bases are made of 300 series stainless steel solid cast. Deep grooved ball bearings are manufactured of Type 420C stainless steel. They are doubly insulated, permanently lubricated with USDA-approved grease, and almost maintenance-free. Shields are composed of Type 304 stainless steel and keep out dirt.
There are many different types of bearings, including ball and roller bearings, linear bearings, and mounted versions that may use either rolling element bearings or plain bearings. Bearings are mechanical assemblies that include rolling elements and typically inner and outer races and are used for rotating or linear shaft applications. Roller bearings use cylindrical rolling elements for larger load carrying requirements whereas ball bearings use spherical rolling elements for lower load applications. In addition to supporting linear motion along shafts, linear bearings may also support rotating motion.
Mounted Bearings, which include pillow blocks, flanged units, and other mechanical assemblies, consist of bearings housed within bolt-on or threaded mounting components. They offer ways to support turning shafts and reduce friction between rotating shafts and fixed machine parts. Machines with exposed rotating shafting typically require mounted bearings. On the extremities of conveyors, they serve as take-up units, while at intermediate locations, they serve as flanged units. The bearing configurations can be rolling elements or journal bearing. Mounted bearings are made for simple replacement and bolt-on mounting.
Cam followers and rod end bearings are two other types of mounted bearings. Considerations comprise
● Housed units lessen rising worries and safety difficulties
● Designs of cartridges facilitate replacement
● Set screws are typically used to hold shafts in place.
● Permit the supported components to be adjusted.
● utilized primarily for low- to medium-speed applications
Stainless Steel Pillow Block
Units (SUCSP)
The food handling industry, water treatment facilities,
and salt water desalination plants all benefit greatly from the corrosion
resistance of stainless steel pillow
blocks mounted units. 440 stainless
steel is used to make the balls and rings, and set screws Frame, Slinger,
and 410 stainless steel, 302 stainless
steel, lockable collar, retainer, and set screw (SNA only), Seal made of
silicone rubber and 304 stainless steel.
Stainless
Steel Bolt Flange (SUCSFL)
Bolt
Stainless Steel Flange mounted units are
corrosion-resistant stainless steel
and are perfect for use in salt water desalination plants, water treatment facilities,
and the food handling industry. 410
stainless steel set screws, 302
stainless steel slinger and seal frame, 302 stainless steel retainer, and 440
stainless steel balls and rings make up the product (SNA only) Silicone
rubber seal and 304 stainless steel
lubrication.
Food Grade Grease H-1 -10°F to 250°F operating
temperature range Housings are made of
stainless steel 304. For extremely corrosive applications, they are
typically the best option. The flaking, breaking, deformation, or
discolouration problems that are common with other corrosion-resistant housing
materials do not affect them. They are almost impervious to scrapes and are
capable of bearing heavy radial stresses.
The dimensions of every bearing conform to ABEC-1 specifications. The range of temperatures is -30 to +160 F. two stainless steel set screws are included to help fasten the bearing to the shaft.
